During the weekend, SONORA floorball team in Latvian championship of veterans in group 35+ fought for the Latvian championship title. Also, this year our team managed to keep he title of champions and celebrated beautiful success.
Finals took place on the 1st of April at Spunciems where six best teams came together to fight for this year championship title. SONORA team won all three games and the final game played vs last year`s vice-champions “Alusvederi”. This time the final game started intensive and intriguing, but at the end SONORA held the lead and won the title of champions.
Also, the regular floorball season SONORA team started very successful and confident by winning all 17 games, overall obtaining 51 points which was for 13 points more than closest followers. Hence our team become double-champions – both playoff and regular season. Team leader Ēriks Akulovs attack with 68 points convincingly becoming the league top scorer, leaving behind in second place the SONORA team player Ainars Anis.
We are truly proud of our SONORA floorball team and its success and wish luck in the future as well! Thanks to all fans, supporters and players for their contribution to forging the victory.
Also, we remind you that tonight at 21.15 SONORA basketball team at Sports hall Jugla has the last game of regular season at Latvian amateur basketball league, but next week starts play-offs. We will be glad to see tonight all the supporters!
