Here is the job! We are looking for an Office Administrator

We face challenges in our business on daily basis – we plan and organize complex freights and Project Cargos.

Since the August 2015, SONORA has become as a member of Employers` Confederation of Latvia (LDDK), which is the largest organization that represents employers in Latvia. The LDDK is a socio-economic partner in negotiations with Parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia. Totally LDDK brings together and represents 110 sector leaders (companies which employ more than 50 employees), 66 sector-based and regional business associations and federations, as well as more than 5 000 companies, among which 3 036 are micro and small enterprises.

September is the most excited month for all basketball fans in Latvia and Europe – on the 5th of September starts the Europe Championship in Basketball for men 2015. This year championship will take place in 4 countries – Germany, France, Croatia and Latvia. We are delightful to host this event in Latvia – from the 5th until the 10th of September group matches will take place in Riga, Latvia.

This weekend we were transporting one more Project Cargo – Metal Constructions. A cargo was transported from Ventspils (Latvia) to Nybro (Sweden). During transportation were used Sea and Road transport.

This week we were transporting a Project Cargo – heavy machinery for Oil & Gas Industry from France to Turkmenistan. Transportation of cargo was organized by using land, sea and railway transport modes. Re-loading of goods to railway platforms was held at our customs warehouse in Riga.

Today and tomorrow (7-8th of August) our best Latvian rallycross driver Reinis Nitiš will take part in the 7th round of FIA World Rallycross Championship in Canada.

5th Annual International Worldwide Partners Alliance (WPA) Conference gathers the best logistics professionals and entrepreneurs from all over the world and recently took a place in Bangkok, Thailand. Only the best companies from each country can become members of this organization. We are honoured to represent Latvia in WPA for many years.

This year our company has again supported our Latvian rallycross driver Reinis Nitiss, who took the third place in FIA World Rallycross Championship last year which is a very significant achievement for the young sportsman. In 2014 Reinis received the Latvian award as the best and most popular sportsman in technical sports.

JSC “Sonora” already celebrates its 15th anniversary in January, this year. We are proud that during these years our company has significantly grown and developed – we have founded various subsidiaries, having essentially increased the number of employees; moreover we can now offer and provide our transportation and logistics services in any place of the world.
